Objectives

• To oversee the development and implementation of governance policies and practices.
• To ensure compliance with constitution and bylaws and compliance with Ethics
• To assess the performance of EC, SC ,administration & committees
• To facilitate the orientation of new SC members (onboarding) & IEC.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Policy Development: Recommend governance policies and procedures to the EC SC for approval.
• Evaluation : Conduct regular assessments of EC SC COMMITTEES performance and effectiveness.
• Identify CRITERIA for candidates for IPA positions, ensuring a diverse and skilled board.
• Orientation and Training: Oversee the orientation process for new IPA members and ongoing training for all members & IEC.
• Conflict of Interest and code of conduct: Monitor compliance with the conflict of interest policy and ensure transparency.
• Submit Position Papers to EC SC
• Revision of Constitution and Bylaws

• To foster collaboration with other medical and scientific organizations.

• Coordinate with the Programs to
- Promote research priorities and funding opportunities
- Oversee educational programs, webinars ensuring they meet the needs of society members and the broader paediatric community.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of clinical practice guidelines and position statements.
- Facilitate the peer review process for scientific submissions, abstracts, and presentations.

• Strategy Development: Develop and recommend communication strategy with IPA members .Highlight the visibility of IPA members and IPA in general,
• Technology Oversight: Monitor the implementation of IT projects and initiatives, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
• Digital Presence: Oversee the management of the IPA’s website and social media accounts to ensure effective outreach and engagement.

• To monitor financial performance against the budget.

• To oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports

• Budget Approval: Review and recommend the annual budget to the Board.
• Financial Monitoring: Regularly review financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Internal Controls: Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
• Audits: Oversee the external audit process and review audit reports.
• Policy Development: Recommend financial policies and procedures to the Board for approval.
• Fund Management: Monitor the management and utilization of funds, including donor funding.
