SAG Activities and Works

1. Participated in the 4th WHO STAGE (Strategic and Technical Advisory Group of Experts) on MNCAHN (Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health and Nutrition)

2. Drafted an IPA Statement on COVID-19 in Children and Safety of COVID-19 Immunization in Children
 

A. Routine Immunization

• IPA Vaccine Trust Course

• Work on Manuscript entitled “Empowering Healthcare Workers for Building Public Trust in Vaccination: Experience from the International Pediatric Association’s Online Vaccine Trust Coure, 2020-2021”

• Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop and Planning and Review Meeting during IPA Congress 2023 and Program Management for Vaccine Trust Project Phase IIb with Sanofi Pasteur on priority agenda – Immunization Agenda 2030 and Reaching out Zero-Dose Children.
 

B. Measles-Rubella

• Organized the IPA International Webinar on “Sarampión y Rubéola en la Región de América Latina (Measles and Rubella for Latin America Region)” held on 29 July 2022
 

C. Polio

• Formed a small working group within the SAG to work on the agenda for Polio Eradication
 

D. COVID-19 Pediatric Vaccination

• With the support of Sanofi Pasteur, proposed to develop a module on COVID-19 and adding it as the 8th module to IPA Vaccine Trust Course
 

E. HPV

• Dr. Naveen Thacker attended FIGO workshop on Sustainable Implementation of Vaccination Programmes for Women: Best Practice Strategies in Prague in July 2022
